Analysis Of The October 2020 Air Force ROTC Board

As a freshman cadet, you take a 1-hour class each week to learn basic Air Force knowledge. As a sophomore, you take a 1-hour class on air power history. There is no commitment for the first two years unless you are on scholarship. The academic courses, along with the weekly Leadership Laboratory, make up the curriculum. Once you complete your junior year of high school, you can get a head start on your future by applying for the ROTC National Scholarship (a four-year scholarship) at a participating school.

Do I have to go through basic training (boot camp)?

I’m not aware of any concerns with an officer dating a cadet/mid, provided the officer is not stationed at the SA. Such a scenario often happens if cadets/mids of different classes are dating and one graduates first. You’ll also enjoy a complete college experience alongside your ROTC training.

Like other students, you’ll attend your academic classes, participate in clubs and extracurriculars, and live in dorms. The new lawyer is then commissioned into the Air Force in the grade determined by the laws and directives in effect at the time of call to active duty.
